| Wilanów Palace, Warsaw's grandest palace, is free to enter on Thursdays. The palace building survived the conflicts of the 20th century almost entirely unscathed so you can discover how King Jan III and his 17th century Polish royal descendents lived - and explore the extensive parkland around too. Entry is free today but requires a ticket - these are available at the ticket office (the yellow building in front of the palace) from 9am, though numbers are limited. | |||
