Discover Hitler's concrete plans for Berlin.

concretewall - Discover Hitler's concrete plans for Berlin. [A FREE Thing To Do Today] Price: Free Time: 1-2 hours
Hitler's grand plans to create 'Germania', a rebuilt Berlin, never came to fruition, but his architect Albert Speer began to lay the groundwork - literally. The Heavy Load-Bearing Body, or Schwerbelastungskörper on General-Pape-Straße is a huge, indestructable lump of concrete, created to test that the weight of the ground could hold these vast structures - and it's still there. Explore the structure and Hitler's plans with a visit to the site, from 2-6pm.
